i still don't have a clear format i guess... this one went from hip-hop to african pop to gospel and reggae and alt-rock. sounded good to me. had the wrong microphone on and no one could hear me when i was talking but otherwise it went pretty good for my first time flying solo.

I'd gladly offer some of my Scandinavian death metal CDs to increase the variety, but then again, you actually want listeners.
Soon you will be the new Kid Leo.
Nice set. I especially like the J&MC choice. One question: Why the Calexico version, and not the Arthur Lee/Love original?
a: because the calexico happened to be sitting right on the shelf at eye level, as opposed to 'forever changes' which i did not find on the shelf.
b: it was 5:30am and i was somewhat on autopilot.
actually, i do find the calexico version infinitely better than attempts by the damned and matthew sweet, though the original can't be beat.
though i have to admit, seeing calexico do that song live made me get the shivers in that really good way.
